Wow I'm really sorry to hear that, this same thing has happened to me recently when my friend overdosed on heroin it changes your perspective on everything but you'll get through it man best of luck to you and his family everyone has their own pit stop you just need to keep on truckin' and try your best to stay positive

I know the feeling. I lost the woman I love only 2 years ago. Just remember it's healthy to grieve, and take whatever time you need to do it. Don't try and shove it down and hide it, it will come out in bad ways. Embrace it, it sucks, but eventually you'll stop feeling bad and move on to thinking about the good times you shared instead of dwelling on the death itself. You're still here and have to take care of yourself.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I know, it's unfair, but you can't do anything about it. I've been through a few similar experiences, and I know, it's hard. Life feels different, and it probably always will, but it'll get better. It's painful, and it'll take a while, especially with someone who was so close to you, but in the end, you'll just look back and smile and be happy to have had those good times with him in the first place. Spend time with or talk to his family, and it'll help. You'll feel hollow and empty for a while, but in the end you'll come out stronger and wiser than before, as odd as it sounds.

Making some tunes will help, and they'll probably be the best you've ever written, filled with more emotion and passion than ever before. I know that music was a huge part of coping for me when I lost my dog, who was practically my best friend. You said that he was a big part of your music back in the day, so with the risk of sounding slightly corny, he would want you to keep making music.

And amen to "fuck the army for brainwashing people".

this is the guy who used to be part of deadly habit circa 01-04 and helped me come up with the name

i've done it before and may this time
but it's to the point where it's just like i'd rather hide in a corner and cry till there are o more tears thean work on music

i'm really sorry to hear about this.
i was in a band with one of my friends for over 4 years.
he was diagnosed with cancer and eventually got over it, but eventually it came back and he died when he was about 19.
watching some one so young, basically disintegrate before your eyes is impossible to describe or compare anything to.
there are no words to describe how it feels when you lose someone so close to you. Friends are often closer than most family members.
So i hope you and the family find strength during such hard times.
