"The Americas?"

What did Christopher Columbus bring it over to trade for spices or something?

Then why are you joining forums for the sake of promoting it?

It's the cliche way to understand people from other countries... You can always tell who hasn't traveled much by their comments. Those of us who have traversed the globe and have actualy spent time with the people of this world know that we are all more alike than we are different

Sweet thread!

By the way, currently in Detroit for DEMF. Loving all of the music, regardless of genre, but mainly interested in seeing all of the Detroit/American techno pioneers who have been making beautiful music for decades. Let's not pretend like there aren't amazing producers from the United States and I won't pretend to like all the mediocre, soulless music that people are quick to slap the word "dubstep" on

if you listen/dont listen to music based on certain areas/countries, you are doing it wrong!

Well at least this video is getting the plays it needs. When I want to get people to listen to my tracks I'm going to use a similar approach... "CROYDONS FIRST EVER DUBSTEP ARTIST. EVER."

Dubstep and America ? It's all about Joe Nice people.

Some good producers out there in the States : Starkey, Falty DL (although not entirely dubstep), Babylon System, Matty G etc. And of course Canada too.

Quantity over Quality used to be an issue in the States but has since spread to the UK island and mainland Europe as well.

All in all, another shamefull topic on DSF.

Not to be redundant but - Vaccine? Babylon System? 6Blocc? We've got good producers, though agreed, they tend to be in one of maybe two or three major cities.

What I'd say on the tune you posted - to make something a commercial success over hear you have to not get it, you don't have a choice. In the really big cities people might be a bit more open minded to intelligence, anywhere else (at least in Cleveland where I'm at) if it's not top 40 pop it will push everyone off the dance floor and likely the dj loses his job real fast. Even the trendiest clubs downtown won't go past tech-house or D Ramirez type stuff. Yeah, a lot of areas like mine have had a strong underground in terms of rave scene (or have had) but that's just saying that it'll have strong support from maybe 2% of the population - if that - who think that way. Commercial success for 'good' electronic - dubstep, especially jungle which everyone who's not a raver seems to hate, just isn't available yet here.
