I just don't understand how one single person can technically own one particular sound or style. I mean there's not a whole lot of things you can do, musically, that are new and can ever truly be considered, "Yours". Even if his style was similar to that of Burial, it's just possible that this is the sound that is just him and sort of just comes out naturally.

but, not thats its important, in this case it was actually his goal to do the burial thing.
He wanted to prove that it wasnt that special, and that anyone could do it, and even better

excuse me if i'm wrong offcourse, was about 2 years ago i think when he told me this

and its not fucking important anyway, quality tunes and whiners should stfu

a preview of a new tune of mine together with a gifted songwriter named Marlon Penn.
Enjoy, sit back, relax and just be patient.

Why didn't people just PM him if the wanted to hear new stuff.

Have the "calling out" threads replaced the wobble threads?

Because the last thing I read him type on here, about 2 years ago, was 'I'm leaving the forum, here's a copy of my LIVESET' or something along the lines. Don't see the problem myself, better having some threads up than none at all, which I reckon there pretty much would be if people weren't posting 'waste threads'.... From what I see people like Sharmaji are trying to keep thing relevant by posting random desperation threads like 'what don't you know about music...'

Damn, what's with all the negativity? Just let it roll!

since Burial hasn't been so active last 3 years, i think it's normal people catch up

Burial is still superb even if most of his tracks are 3+ years old, but atleast R is still alive and producing really good stuff!

sorry for my 'bad' english :u:

I love Burial but it's a good point. People say some ridiculous things on here about how good a producer he is technically.

I'm enjoying the little I've heard of Roqqert, not sure what I think of just trying to recreate Burial stuff though.

Not quite a good point imo. The big difference between Burial and copycats is that Burial invented something new that hundreds of thousands of people like and influenced a huge part of the scene. If someone thinks that's not that special, please go ahead and beat that :D

OK I should have said I mean production-wise. It's the ideas/emotion that the copycats lack in, not the producing skills. That's all I meant.

How many releases does he actually have? I've only managed to find one... I've just got a mix of his from years ago I really got into!

The stuff he's doing with 'The Planty Herbs' is proper smashing it though, real summer vibes!!
