Builders are spiritual mate. Their presence is trying to tell you something. Is there something in your life you are not attending to? Is there some shit you should be dealing with? Loud-mouthed labourers outside your window at 8.30 is the universe's way of telling you to wake up and pay attention.

No, cause now the chicks gone (admittedly not cos of the builders) they bun more zoots than me in the daytime, and i'm on a sabattacle if I could spell it...

But i think you have a strong point with the first part, interesting way to look at it. But how do they know i'm not working night shifts and they are disturbing my precious first three hours of sleep? Riddle me that!

beleive me, i know the navvy mentality, they will be more than happy to go get a large fry up somewhere, then tell the gaffer that they had to down tools as they were causing a disturbance.
ive been stopped from working loads of times for this sort of thing, and most tradesmen will look for any excuse
