Anyhow, how's Scanned Synth working out for you guys? I've been playing around with it a bit after it's been just sitting on my hardrive for 2 years and holy hell this thing is a subbass monster! I've got some cool wobbles out of it, but the subs...omg THAT's where it's at :) Throw a LowShelf on your Master Filter and keep it at about 60 Hz, then hit the lowest notes while having your girlfriend sit on the subwoofer...I guarantee it'll put a big ol' smile on her face :).
The way I installed the skin was to browse to the skin folder (in my case, C:\Program Files (x86)\Scanned Synth Pro\ScannedSynthProData\Skins), and then I made a .rar archive of the default folder (as a backup), and then deleted it, pasted in the new skin folder, and renamed it to "default".

Hey thanks, man :). I'll try that.

Just thought I'd point out that there is a really good VSTi synth out there for DnB, Dubstep, Grime and IDM sounds that's going for DIRT CHEAP.

It originally sold for $99 USD, but now it's "Pay Whatever You Want." (Donationware).

Check it out here: http://www.humanoidsounds.co.uk/products.html

Scanned Synth Pro isn't for classic reeses, but you can definitely make other types of DnB basses with it that sound quite different than the rest of the pack due to the fact that this synth uses scanned synthesis instead of the standard VA, FM, Wavetable, Additice, etc.
One thing this thing is good at is Dubstep Wobbles...but again...very different than what you'd get from VA or FM. The basses this thing makes have some serious grunge lol.

Two things SSP are NOT: A buggy piece of shit or a SynthEdit creation.

BTW, no, I'm not getting any kickbacks for mentioning this. I feel bad for John (the developer), as it's a good product and I gather it just didn't work out for him for whatever reason.

I've made a YouTube video showcasing some of its sounds:

.
Bought this yesterday...really liking it so far! Might donate some more later, really a great synth, absolutely incredible through this offer.

Ok guys, just dropping in to say that I got word from the developer that he's working on a 3.0 update! Apparently a whole boatload of new features will be added, which includes the possibility of a 2nd Osc to really phatten things up.

How's that synth working out for y'all?

Can I say it again? I love this synth. This synth was born with a shovel in its mouth... Dirt is its bread and butter, and that's A-OK with me.
