btw can any americans shed light on what happened to santori after time to kill?
I thought Santori was Benny Page?
And then there is Brett / Satori from Miami, used to be in ICBM and Thinktank, had done a collab with Mayhem.
ohhh
that would make sense although i think time to kill beats anything under the benny page name if true....grabbed it recently on the cheap on wax and its never left the bag since
this tune is absolutely amazing as well

Heard some amazing deep dark bits from Dustmite that are coming up, he's from Cali. Also you got some of the other Smog fam Kelly Dead, Steady, DLX, Kemst etc
check out pure filth and SMOG to get a feel for LA's DJs/Producers. I know all of them DJ but I dunno if everyone in those groups produces, but I know a fair amount do.
It's actually really hard to pidgeon hole American dubstep's sound, alot of people think it's all tear out but that's more what the American audience wants, not so much what the American producers are making. I've heard a few G-funkish tracks but not nearly as many as I had hoped there would be when I first got into dubstep. Seriously who's makin that gangsta shit bump?!

Who's making the G-Funk?? Matty mothafuckin G. He is US #1 in my oppinion. But there are sooo many other badman producers coming from the States right now. Djunya, Eprom, Kozee, DJG, DZ, Eskmo, Spit Brothers, Juju, Antiserum, Babylon System, Mimosa all hold it down for the Bay Area. And you got The Widdler, 6Blocc, Falty DL, Sepalcure, HD4000, Distal, Starkey, Zeno, Subflo, Nate Mars, Juakali!! The list of immensely talented producers coming from the States just keeps getting bigger!

I wouldn't really say Matty G is G-funk influenced, definitely hip hop influenced but I get alot more of the 808 dirty south kinda vibe on it
