Definitely, great start for the whole tournament too! Well, watching France v Uraguay warm up atm, hoping this will be good. :)

I can't watch these games if all I can hear is what sounds like a swarm of fucking bees in my tv. How many times can you blow them fucking stupid horns watching a match.

Been a shit game. Forlan's been pretty good. Glad they've taken Anelka off. He was just hogging the ball.

A French team full of greedy fuckers. Unlikely to have much of a say in this tournament.

What a waste of 90 mins of my life....

All the things I could've been doing that would've been more worthwhile......like...slitting my own throat.

YES... fuck those damned vuvuzelas..

arrrrrrrrrrrg whoever invented and mass produced that shit should be flayed and dipped in vinegar while someone blows that horn at them.

i sincerely hope every game isnt like that, otherwise i'll have to watch on mute, or dig my ears out with a spoon

dont think they took the vuvu's into account when FIFA agreed to let RSA host... :u:

edit: actually, FIFA wanted to ban them, but "the South African Football Association (SAFA) made a presentation that vuvuzelas were essential for an authentic South African football experience" (wikipedia)

Every game will be like that. I'm dreading watching matches when I'm hungover - suicide ting.

Cos your from South Africa doesn't really make a difference, people obviously want to use them, just let it be. This is supposed to be the world cup for the people of Africa ect. the atmosphere in stadiums shouldnt be dimmed just so some people stop moaning in front of their TV's.

Doesn't make a difference huh? It does when you used the word "ignorant", because, well... duh. I grew up going to games and having my ears blasted out by them, so calling me ignorant was rash and unwise, and, well... ignorant on your part.

All i'm saying is that as far as stadium novelties go, they're quite destructive and unsafe.

Plus, you specifically mentioned in your OP that this thread was for moaning (albeit i assume you were talking about games, but i believe this constitutes a fair exception) , so hating on the moaning that goes on is particularly silly. There's nothing we can do about the noise, so we voice our displeasure in public forums such as these. Obviously we must let it be, but that doesn't mean our opinions should be silenced or that we should think they're less annoying "for cultures sake".

Yeah i apolagise for the ignorance comment, your right probably was rash and unwise. I meant that it doesn't mean i will agree with your opinion because you are from South Africa.

Also I wasn't having a go at you for moaning lol, just disagreed with you. No beef :) . Your perfectly entitled to moan and say what you like in this thread; I'm just allowed to dispute it with you. :t:

After my initial confusion (see earlier post) I actually got quite into the sound. I forgot they were there until Mexico scored and they all suddenly stopped

Who's watching this one?! Really interesting to see how argentina can perform, and Messi obviously. I don't think Nigeria will be push overs though.

I'm watching it. I've been up all night drinking and I'm gonna force myself to stay awake to see the England game.
