It's all about buying education versions for cheap off ebay. They are the full version and require no proof of education. You can get Studio 5 for less than £150. :D

I'm a fully signed up cubase user but if I was on a mac I'd use logic. It's cheaper, more commonly used and it is designed to work as well as possible with your mac.

The only possible reasons which I wouldn't go for logic would be if I was jumping back and forth between macs & pcs or if I was using ableton instead (sorry to throw that in there).

Bottom line, if you're going to mac, get logic.

I really want to use Logic but my iMac is slow as fuck and it's downstairs in the most uncomfortable place in the entire fucking house

Probably just gonna build myself a killer Hackintosh and dual boot windows + OS X

Can't wait to use it though, I've heard massively good things about it

Yeah, that's the deal, you've got to be nutz to go in there, it's like a threshold requirement.

Thinking, I might want to give one a try -r-

Remember flying down the 5 with my moms, doing 90 sliding around traffic, windows down, showing her how we do it in LA, audio clip bursts out, "chairs made of pussy hairs" she was like, "chairs made of pussy hairs?" I was like... 5 years from now I'll use a tracker.

Does anybody have one of these? I heard they're not that reliable?

As a once solid Cubase user, Id have to say honestly if you have a mac, get Ableton. Logic is ok but its too route-ish .But lately cubase support has pissed me off enough to switch to using ableton again.

And Renoise, its a joke in my opinion. unless you want to make drum tracks only. Looks cool though.
