I always forget about jtek seems like kind of a joke to me tho. You just make tunes that sound 20 years old and slap a new name on it and bobs ur uncle. I just don't like the forced genres. Like Jungle, dubstep, house, whatever they just sort of happened. It wasn't a conscious decision and nicknames came well after the music.

yea i mean jtek really is just a lil speed up acid house with some techno elements to me, but somehow the one lil label name spawned a lil subgenre meh

When I first heard someone say drumstep it made me think of borgore going mental on "love" say what you want about him but hes a quality drummer. Does anyone know what his metal band are called?

All sorts....

All you need is the word "step" after the first word, e.g

Dub"step"
Hub"step"
Shit"step"
StupidThread"step:

So on and so fore.
A brand new song!

I think the whole process of subgenrification (yes, I just made that word up) in dubstep is pretty funny. In dnb, no one wanted the subgenres and they got a whole bunch. In dubstep, everyone seems desperate for subgenres, but the scene as a whole doesn't comply. It's good.

That's funny because I call it 'shit'.

No but seriously you should all get into yaknowthatdrumbeatkindalikebamandthehatskindarollandthebassisalldifferentitsdarkbutdeepit'sprettygoodjoyorbisondoesitwellandburialmaybequitealotofothersbutthissubgenrenameisalreadyhugestep.

I'm all about that, that's the kind of dubstep I'd like to make.

I'm after an exclusive night of just that, can anyone recommend?
