I did think about the morality but then again if you own a site like this you should have stopgaurds in place.... u live and learn. To be fair if anything its decent exposure for the site.. I would have never even known about it nor ever bought anything from the site. I may have to again in the future.
As for stealing.... not really I purchased the goods still.

This is stealing.
My only concern is that they will notice the mistake and bill you all full price. What a business move that would be! They'd make thousands just off this thread.

yeah this came up on another forum. the producers who make those sample packs are paid a royalty just like a single or an album release. Anyone who paid 1.25 for these is just paying to ease their conscience, they may as well have torrented it for all the good it's going to do anyone

I'm not an expert in business but I doubt the producers get a percentage on whatever price is listed.
And wtf ? Did buying something at its listed price become a crime at some point ?
Oh wait I get it, you're pissed because you missed it, aren't you ?

my guess is that the sample artists already got paid, and the djdownload site took the hit on this one.
took it like a man, though, not charging full price after the fact. i'd buy from them in the future if their sample packs weren't so marked up.

not even close to stealing tbh
stealing removes the original
this is just taking advantage of their mistake.
Like the thread title says, it sucks for them but it's in favor of whoever buys it, and it was their mistake after all

It's more a matter of law than a matter of attitude.
If that was legal, I'd start a business right away, sell tv screens for 1 €, then contact the customers to let them know the price was actually 1500 and claim the difference.

This, basicly.

as a reseller of that material, they owe monies for the sales. How much do you think that is? 10,20,30k?
Maybe they are not legit at all, to begin with?

Just checked my basket and it still had a few in there for £1.25, even though they've gone back up to full price on the main screen. Triple checked and i definitely paid the cheaper price, so got myself the 3 that had been sitting in my basket for a few days!
And whilst it may be taking advantage of a mistake, i also ended up buying a few tracks and a full price sample pack, so it helps them in other ways.

no, i'm a producer who's contributed samples to packs like these
seriously, it's like a single: companies like Loopmasters are the 'label' and the producer who made the track gets a percentage of the profits, just like a normal music release.
i'm not gonna get all moralistic here though - it was DJD's fuckup, and I don't blame anyone for taking advantage. But you may as well have torrented it, because that 1.25 has pretty much been split between the taxman, VISA and DJDownload...
