but the ego does, it's you. and it's as good as you are, it's not something apart that makes you bad. you can't get rid of it and still be you. do you want to die and become something else or do you want to be a better self aka having a better ego?

try this if you lost your way and see how it works, self improving and acting positive never harmed anyone. but this is not enough to feel good, you might need a bit of knowledge about the universe and brains to use it in order to make a good distinction between bad and good. real life ain't nothing like on tv and most people looking happy on tv live miserable lives. be you in the real world, not a projection of the self in an world of illusions

that's where dictionaries come in establishing common definitions and common grounds.
if you call ego something that's not in their definitions you're not talking the language, as simple as that
