Still not convinced? :P Nice Universal logo on there too..
Just because it says "Generation Dubstep" doesn't mean it is dubstep. That compilation is a bunch of pop song remixes drenched in drums and wobble.
well its not swahili rap metal is it

That sure sounds like the definition of mainstream dubstep to me.
It doesn't mean your definition of dubstep is mainstream though if that's what you're afraid of.

It's true that the 'real' or 'good' dubstep is underground still. The commercial, 'filth' and remixes are now mainstream. Although Ministry of Sound have been responsible for the exposure to actual decent dubstep from producers like Artwork, Mala, Noah D etc.

who cares? I'd go on it and get pissed and have laugh if I ever go the chance (and so would 99% of you)

fuk the Skream & Benga hate now that they're 'big' (their time, they've earnt it)

who cares really about whether dubstep is big or not? really

the thing is though, i think people will complain either way.

if some kid has never heard of DMZ, people will laugh at them and shake their heads "oh the kids these days, they have no idea". but in the same breath tell you they don't want dubstep to sell out. it's a strange catch 22 . i don;t entirely have a solution either so , fuck me

plenty of good non-mainstream dubstep out there - though good luck hearing it in the dance!

its a myriad of things but i think one that is overlooked is that in a sense some of these underground cats start of with grimey unrefined styles! naturally instead of letting the style stale out they learn new techniques and shit and it just sounds more polished for one and two alot of artist are using vocalist cause who wouldnt like the chance to have some good vocals over a fitting tune
