I don't know, in terms of commercial hip-hop I think he's one of the best producers. Who you compare him to? His records have tons of hits, and he's done good stuff for Jay-Z and Common as well ("Izzo" motherfucker!). Excluding 808's and Heartbreaks, it's a good resume:

I don’t think it was close to his best work. He got exceptionally better as he went on. "
