Ive got it.

Odd bpm and yeah 24/8 (really fine triplets) even make the first beats land on time.

Forsaken is a don.

Move along nothing to see here.

Hello!

Taiko Riddim is definitely 4/4 (to my limited understanding), everything is hand played in with me going over the piano roll to syncopate things where my natural rhythm is off. IceLizarrd is right (and very cool!) in that I deliberately staggered both the snares and the resonant bass kicks and gongs.

Unfortunately due to my untrained skillset, I can't tell you tech specifics, but if you watch 'Ninja in the Dragons Den' (preferably the american dubbed for pure hilarity) there's a fight scene in it near the end, and the track is supposed to be a synced soundtrack to that. Maybe they were fighting in 12/8
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.

Oh hey, awesome to get the creator himself responding.

I really do dig the rhythms on this track. And the overall feel of it. Are the flutes and taiko drums sampled from the movie? The taikos sound too high quality for that, though.

(And thanks for the "very cool" compliment :)).
