I wouldn't say multicultural, I would say we mix and match good bits out of different cultures and put a little British stamp on them.

That's just called international trade. Which is actually something which the British pioneered in the first age of globalisation before the onset of the first world war. So actually it is very British. But interesting nevertheless.

HAHA!! I wonder what the Greeks, Chinese, Egyptians, Babylonians/Persia or any Ancient civilization would say to that? No, what GB did was conquer and plunder, make no mistake about that. Just like the aforementioned would eventually do. International trade was alive and well long before the existence of Britania.

But, yeah British food is seriously terrible, a sarny and Fish and Chips get old after about 3 days. Pies should have fruit filling, not meat damn it!

Good thing is that the Chinese are their to pick up the slack, Indian food makes my stomach turn, Indian curry is vile--it looks and tastes digested while on your plate. Japanese curry is delicious, though, which was brought to them by the Brits.

Keep your kababs, leg of lamb is a proper meal not some street food affair handled by dirty vendor hands. I'm sure the Greeks make kebabs, but good olive oil, rosemary, lemon juice and the meat sauces combined make an amazing sauce to pour over the dish.

Damn, I need to go to a Greek neighborhood on Christmas. Turkey and Ham are no comparison.

standard, leg of lamb is pretty much the best meat, Koubideh kebab is just that though, not mixed/minced etc.

but your right, a joint of meat is pretty unbeatable!
