also, usually the only people who say "black music doesn't exist, music is just music" etc. are white guys who listen to black music. it's a fucking ridiculous thing to say when it is culturally and rhythmically clearly rooted in African and Jamaican culture. That said, I wouldn't describe grime as solely black music, vocally it is, but instrumentally not as much.
