Haven't argued (as opposed to discussed) with anyone for about 2 weeks till now! Just Fractal thinks he's some sort of daddy of knowledge, when he's really just an internet fan and never actually lived the culture that he preaches about.

Yeah i know - i was just sleep posting on my Braaptop.......

I am more than grateful for Freeizms 1,2 and 3 but he has the dubs to take it to Freeizm 9 or 10 and beyond.

Big up Skream for the 19 mp3s in the space of 2 weeks - would have just liked "Hurt Them".......

Back to sleep now

i will never understand the need to be playing the newest stuff. i'm not getting bookings yet or anything, but i already plan on opening my first set with a track from 1997. every other track will be from years all over the place. the only reason to stop playing a record is because it's broken. maybe it's just me?

i get that, but older songs need love, too. i can understand if you only brought one set worth of records and home is too far to go trade them out. it's just that if you're playing sets every other day or every week, you shouldn't really play the same stuff every time. i guess this is all just my opinion. people paying to press 320s to vinyl seems a bit off, though. if you're not a producer with your own dubs or a dj running a 2 hour podcast to promote new stuff, then i just feel you should keep it mixed up and never retire any good records no matter how old they are. it's like, "oh, damn! you can buy this record in stores now? fuck it. in the trash!" :m:

i see where your coming from, thats just the way it is though. i still play older bits ive got, but some of them do run their course after a while and get left at home.
but theres no other feeling like putting on a big tune for the first time, the excitement/anticipation.

none of this was anything toward Skream. i'm just thinking of what i'm trying to do. when i get to a point where i feel i'm good enough, then nobody wants to book me because i'm not a producer or i don't have a stack of dubplates people gave me - well, i'm quitting. i'm going to want a refund, too. i didn't get into this to upload mixes to DSF or run a podcast. sometime next year, i might have everything for sale on here. :u:

I kinda hope they stop, at least for a a bit. Quite a few of the tunes he's released for free I would have liked (and happily bought) on vinyl to be honest.
