Definately "A 21st Century Zidane Portrait". Simply because Mogwai is one of my all time favourites.

Anything from Clint Mansell of Vangelis is the shit.

Blade Runner's is more famous but the score from 1492 is another great one.

Pi, YES that movie is the shit I highly recommend it!

Anyone ever seen Koyaanisqatsi? Phillip Glass did the score. An incredible film.
If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're going to see some serious shit.

I think it goes without saying that ennio morricone writes the best soundtracks.

Others:

The Rock
Kikujiro (look up Joe Hisaishi, just do it.)
Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence
Wendy Carlos' work on clockwork orange is spectacular, alot of his shit's good

Geek win.
First ever film soundtrack I've owned and it introduced me to appreciating music properly as a little young lad.

PS. If you don't like Star Wars suck your mum. :D

Some good picks here.
Suprised nobody mentioned Scarface. :P:
The score for the intro is so sick.

and that montage scene......

Some really good ones here!

I love Gustavo Santaolalla (motorcycle diaries). Especially this one:

Lately I can't get enough of SOLARIS and SUNSHINE - both awesome movies with awesome soundtracks ;)

yeh i think clint mansel is a favourite for most people

also craig armstrong, especiall ruthless gravity from layer cake.

Hybrid have also got an amazing album called soundsystem 01 which has a disc with all types of film scores and anything along those kinda lines, some massive attack and stuff like that but also a guy called John Murphy who has done sunshine, 28 days later and Lock Stock. i recomend it! also trifonic - parks on fire, dont think its from a film but it definatly should be used for one!
