Bunch of twats on here seriously.
:(

@OP - Keep doing whatever makes you happy and if you want to share...share it. There's normally at least one person that will like it and possibly fall in love with it and that one person makes it all worthwhile. I personally am not a fan but I didn't find that it was needed to get in here as fast as possible and tell you to fuck off.

Keep doing you.

Same, some kids deserve it, this guy does not. Too much rubbing of other mens rhubarbs going on 'round here.

okay well you could have spent some amount of time reading about it or listening to mixes right?

admittedly ive been a twat and i probably said some pretty amazingly retarded stuff when i joined up but come on... you titled this 'my 1st song' (thanks for retracting this) and youve got this all too familiar combination of ignorance and arrogance that just really winds me up. if you love dubstep so much fucking read through the forum, follow all the links to 2step garage hardcore and jungle....oh and here's two threads on double drops...what you've done is a double drop... you would know this if you put some effort in....

A) I love the music and JUST started taking an active interests in the production of it... so lay off.
B) I am super happy for you that you know ALL about making music, but my world is making films. I don't jump on someone and call them "ignorant and arrogant" just because they made a video edit that is sub-par and a "joke." In fact, I make it my job to steer them in the right direction instead of being a total dick about it. At least they care about something I care about too... one love, right? Apparently not in your world.
C) Yes, I am ignorant when it comes to making music, and frankly I really dont have much time to do anything but listen to it, but I am now a part of this community because I want to learn a little something, I thank you for aiding me in my quest for knowledge, but again, no need for the negativity.
D) I am not a producer and will never be a producer. Thanks for the offer but I'll leave making music up to the professionals - and in case you were wondering, I do have the money to buy tables, but again, that's not my thing and it wont be my thing. I was just sharing my find with the world, I wasn't away I was going to anger someone so much to the point of ruining their day... really, I mean it, I apologize.

Whilst I do think people here have been a bit harsh, I struggle to understand how any normal person could whack 2 tracks together and go around telling everyone they've just made a tune.

Agreed, I very quickly corrected myself. I apologize for writing that... I didn't not write the song, I understand that, I just slapped it together, that's all.

you say all of this but if i told you i just made my first movie and it turned out to be a kaleidoscope over blade runner you would slate me. don't care how open minded you claim to be that would irritate the piss out of you.

then fucking learn something you tnuc! don't come in here and tell me how great you are coz you watch youtube videos and know how to open a browser...
if i wanted to meet some people on a film production website i would probably start off by reading old threads that pertain to my interests and bumping them. i wouldnt start off by trying to impress people. alright?

and sorry laurent but stuff like this kills me. have had to move around so much over the last five years and early on everyone that liked dubstep was so safe and down to earth but increasingly everyone i meet who claims to love dubstep just loves hype and being into whats cool atm.

this hardly seems like the reaction of someone who is "safe". the OP is has obviously started off on the wrong foot and massively underestimated the elitism of the board and yes he probably realises in retrospect that he should have had a nose about and got to know before he jumped in and tried to show off. like i said almost everything about this thread is turning me away form the board.
