Best hate group for indies (English version of Hipsters)
after briefly looking at the page, 50% of the people posting on that page are blatant indie hipsters
self loathing must be in atm
think it's either hipsters in self-denial (e.g. all hipsters) or they're somehow convincing themselves that liking that page and being a hipster is "ironic" (which it kinda is, in a really stupid way)

Hipsters are a strange breed of scavenger. Picking and choosing parts of other scenes they think will make them look cool whilst simultaneously not understanding and completely missing the point of what it is they've actually latched onto in the first place. Thus coming across as complete tools and feeding a vicious cycle of bellendery.

Nailed it. I've been trying to figure out how to explain what exactly makes a hipster, and I think this is it.

Coming out of the student union yesterday I was approached by someone with a camera who asked me what I thought of that dickhead video and hipsters.
Then she took my photo, and said it would be in the student newspaper. All the way through I was thinking "shes calling me a FUCKING HIPSTER by asking me what I think of hipsters" and I'm gonna be in one of those videos.
It makes me a hipster to be prang about being called a hipster doesnt it?
