I've read this twice, and sections of it thrice. I fail to comprehend the reasoning behind someone so virulently trying to defend the rights of spambots and leaving them to clutter up the forum. I struggle to understand who you're having your little outcry at, the forum, the moderators, the moral leanings of removing spam bot postings?! I thought I would respond forthright, declaring that, on the off chance there is something affecting you directly or you have actual constructive criticism to offer then this would be a great place to air these helpful suggestions and/or anecdotes. they will not stop. it's a fact that all forums have to face. lock/delete/hate them all you want, they operate on traffic, as long as this forum generates traffic, they will continue.
that being said, the best way to fight them is to laugh and realize that they are silly, and the traffic they try to generate is a sign of the times, while waiting for the mods to do what they're here to do (aside from the rare exception of true forum misconduct)
true, you shouldnt reply, but if you do... who cares? its a negligible increase in a problem that will be constantly persistent. no arguing that... (unless you're a special kind of ignorant).
if you cant overlook spam, and it truly bothers you... i pity you. i really do. riding a moral high horse on bots is as asinine as the causes the bots propagate.
At the end of this moral and somewhat post ironic meta dissection of your curious post, I came to the inevitable conclusion theres only one suitable response, imagine my chagrin when I continued on with the contents of this thread, only to discover it had already been delivered most comedically.
