I'm seconding all the Dubstep Allstars comps for sure, tons of get tracks on each of 'em. It's pretty helpful with all the varied artists to sift through when you find a track that's up your alley

Re: Dubstep Essential albums
i listen to many genres of music. pop, rock, metal, hardcore, thrash, death metal, trance, alternative, soft rock, hard rock, classical, rap, rnb, dnb, dance and a f*** load more. i listen to a show on a radio station that plays all dubstep, experimental, and even what i can guess is ambient sounds of things nature and the like. so i am pretty sure i am already liking dubstep...
and all you cool kids thanks heaps for the suggestions!
that list is getting bigger and bigger, thats well enough stuff for me to check out haha
PEACE.

a personal favourite of mine is martyn's great lengths.
also, it might be a bit early to announce it a classic, since it only just came out, but jack sparrow - circadian. incredible music. full stop.
also, if the whole techy side of things tickles your fancy, then scuba's sub:stance mix is also top notch.
as for another undeniable classic (till now not mentioned i think), mary anne hobbes - warrior dubz. MUD VIP
