Senate & Chamber passed it, no referendum!
I was pro ban though.

They've got a point.
So if it's about remembering
all the victims of war, what's the relevance of the placard saying "British soliders rot in hell"?
Hypocritical & provocative when they know they'll be protected even by most who disagree.
Though it's their perspective & their right maybe they'd do more good for the world & Islam if they were burning poppy fields in Afghanistan.

We can never be sure that the opinion we are endeavoring to stifle is a false opinion; and if we were sure, stifling it would be an evil still. ~John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859
Censorship reflects society's lack of confidence in itself. It is a hallmark of an authoritarian regime. ~Potter Stewart

I concur. That one line in the article is something I agreed with, that's all.

How can they have the audacity to call British troops murders when they go around killing thousands of of innocent people?!
Im not going to tarnish the whole of the religion with the same brush though. As with most things it is a tiny minority. I have nothing against anybody that embraces other cultures and embraces the country they live in. However if these people hate the UK and its troops so much...........FUCK OFF!!!

Yes i may have well contradicted myself there slightly.....but it is only the Islamic extremists (as stated.....a very small portion) that are protesting (or whatever you want to call it) against the British troops and calling them murderers and it is only the islamic extremists that are going round suicide bombing etc. Im not saying the whole of the religion are stnuc....im saying the small proportion are!

Sorry, but fucking LOL.
On the original subject, the protest wasnt in good taste, but the people that did it have the right to do it and as said got just the reaction they wanted. Although its obviously gonna lead to more ridiculous xenophobia

(anyone else dismayed by facebook since this has happened?!).
Censorship of this kind of thing is even more stupid than the original protest, and you have to say they have a point. I hate it how everyone seems to loose their rational opinions when something is a bit more personal.

Although i disagree with the protests, they have every right to express their views and the fact they are allowed to do it is a credit to this country.

i think things like this create balance...unfortunately extremes are needed as this country seems to be all about bigging up our 'heroes' that get on their big guns and fight men with single ak47s with such bravery in other peoples countries!
it doesnt offend me in the slightest and the daily mail fucking loves anything like this...it is different to the current situation sure as i believe men had to fight (could be wrong) but if you sign up to be a merc in a very well equipped army to fight brown people abroad to steal interests and protect resources then it makes you no more a hero than being...well a hired mercenary with superior equipment
