I love angry kids. I love angry dubstep nerds even more. And you guys combined that in a single thread. This must be my day! :P
Peace.

Righty o, I rekon it's about time for some justification.
I have tried to justify myself in other posts but here seems a good place to summarise.
Firstly, you don't have to produce music to know what makes a good track.
I am a dj and have been for quite a while now, I know what works well on the dancefloor and what doesn't.
My point is that I market myself as a dubstep DJ and I am booked in that manner.
People are getting confused about what dubstep actually is because of the flood of shitty repettitive tracks that sound almost exactly the same as the plethora of other shitly produced tracks and this is becomming what dubstep is.
I was booked to play a dubstep set recently and started my set in my usual manner of deep sub rollers then some guy asks me to play a chrispy tune. Then someone asks if I have siera leone.
My bookings will go down if all these bandwagoners start flooding gigs and I will be out of my second income.
It really does hurt me to see good music go unrecognised in favour of this throwaway shit that the scene has become inundated with.
The point of this thread is for people to prove me wrong, for producers who are making this garbage to think, "hey this guy is wrong, i can produce decent music" thus upping their game and keeping the scene alive and well.
I am not a hater and most the tunes I have commented on have production value, I just think they lack what is so special and unique about the music that is my life, and to an extent, my livelyhood.
Instead of bitching and moaning about me bitch and moan about people repeating the same old shit over and over, bump this thread if you have a unique tune to share that you think proves me wrong not to tell me how much you disagree with me (you can pm me for that). Start bumping the amazing tunes on this forum (they are out there going un viewed thanks to the flooding of crappy tracks)

Love all the people, hate the crappy generic tracks.

Reading what you are writing.. It's all about you. You loose some gigs because of a music genre is evolving. And not the way you like it. Some people produce music for fun. Some people produce music for something else, and some produce because they want gigs. I mean look at metal music right now. There is so much crap, but the real people who appreciate metal, still know what is good even if there is shit load of shit. :D So please just chill out and do your gigs. " WAKE THE FUCK UP "

So in other words "LOL GUIZ I WAS JUST TRYING TO GET YOU TO GET BETTER AT WHAT YOU DO, UR ALL CHILL GUIZ I GUESS. PLZ PROVE ME WRONG ABOUT YOUR TERRIBLE GENRE THAT I KNOW IN MY BRAIN I'LL NEVER GET INTO"

Gotta read between the lines.

But srsly If you think people need to validate themselves to you on behalf of a whole genre you're mistaken, and I'm pretty sure that just about anything by a small name that gets posted here gets 0 views either way, It was said before, if you want to just find substep tracks to drop without all the midrange cack in between then petition for a forum split, don't just openly hate on EVERYONE'S music and then hope shit will change.

Stop trying to be cheeky and passive aggressive, it's not winning you any fans on either side if you haven't noticed.

I agree with the starter of the thread, but not all this new stuff is shit, its mainly the fucking crap thats coming onto mainstream recently, but the three main great mainstream songs are:

Professor Green - Jungle
Katy B - Katy On a Misson
Magnecitc Man - I Need Air.

All the other mainstream shit is just fucking clean, its not dirty like Doctor Philth, there's no drops and no heavy basses, hardly any kick and snare patterns they just fucking focus on the vocals. Anyone Agree?

I love the roots of the genre and I love the real sound of dubstep.

I am sick to death of the flood of shit that has taken over this forum and the genre, you guys are killing off a beautiful genre.
It has got to the point that im almost embarresed to admit I like dubstep because people instantly assume im talking about the crap that dubstep has recently been comming out with.

Drop that irritating yoy yoy bass thing, low it on the midrange and make emotional sublow music people.
If you don't want to and want to carry on puking up this abomination please don't call it dubstep.

Impress me. Use this thread to show me tunes and I will criticise the shit out of them (because I can).
Seriously lets get some drive back into the genre.

That track singlehandedly proves me wrong.
Or not.
It is a decent effort and the bass, however generic, does show effort and attention.
The track works but just doesn't fit quite with my taste but good effort man.

you're clearly lying. . thought the whole point wasn't to acquiesce these mans.

but as far as some of the bleeding hearts in this thread....lmao

serious :baby:

the best comment was that one guy who said some shit to the effect of "you don't produce therefore you can't criticize other peoples productions"

i love how that argument has never had any validity whatsoever but people still bust it out in order to make themsevles feel better about being called out.

good job snypadub, these responses are hilarious and are more or less the sort of reaction i anticipated. you probably did as well

any way kiddies, i'm out of this one.

Snypa you cannot go around critcizing peoples work If you yourself do not produce, like who the fuck are you the Simon Cowell of Dubstep?

Seriously? Of course I can criticise work even If i don't make music myself. What so the people who write empire magazine have no write to criticise the films they review? Grow up dumbass. I dj and therefore have more than enough knowledge on what makes a tune work or not. The beauty of criticising music is that you can use your fucking ears douche.

It;s easier to dismiss it as trolling, that way you don't have to face facts that you are produing dogshit disguised as music.
If you prefer to label me a troller go ahead.

Grimy. Like it. It starts off pretty quickly, prefer a build up but this has sub and the lyrics are catchy. Good effort cuz.
