I hate when relatives ask me what I want for christmas. Seems really greedy and stupid, "gimme this, gimme that". Last year I got my grandparents/aunts and uncles to make me mix tapes of their favourite music. Felt much more personal and I learnt a whole lot more than if they'd got me books/cash/whatever

Thats a really cool idea. i dont think any of my relatives would do it though.

some monitors....doing my head in trying to decide between yamaha hs80m, dynaudio bm5a, or the adam a7's.

For listening i might pick the BM5A's, they seem a little more natural to me. For production i might pick the A7's though, theyre a little brighter which could possibly help listening for flaws, BUT might be more fatiguing on the ears, i dont know, havnt used them for a session or anything.

Personal suggestion Bad Company 2 was fairly lacking. the new Medal of Honor was much better if you havent played it yet

I have the HS80Ms and I really like them.

Not had enough experience on the others to judge fairly though

I've used the yamaha's and adams fairly regularly at college. The yamaha's make things sound pretty where the adams are brutally unforgiving. not used the dynaudio's but they are very reputable i've heard.

There are 3 things I REALLY need:

- New speakers for dj'ing. My current speakers start to act shady and my sub doesn't go deep enough. I don't think it goes bellow 45-50Hz, at least, not loud enough.
- A new mixer. Preferably Allen&Heath.
- New decks. Preferably Technics.

Actually, thinking about it, my whole dj set up needs an update

Just put lots of subs under your bed, full volume, and then lay yourself on the bed. Must be awesome.
