wheres that? in the production bible?deadly habit wrote:loads of classic reeses start in a sampler, but you're not gonna get a heavily processed reese from anyone man, since often that's people's characteristic of sound
that'd be like datsik handing out bass patches
even if you're going to use a reese as a stab or something else it's the same process just with different envelope settings

not directed at you, more in generalJFK wrote:Chill out mate. so many people with the attitude well if you do this for me i'll give you this especially when it's something that'll be beneficial to the board as a whole
it'd be like me saying well i know how to do that or what that's sampled from when someone asks, but i'll only tell you if you give me "x break from this tune"
ah kk excuse my stupidityJFK wrote:Its where the link I just sent you is hosted mate.Rekah wrote: wheres that? in the production bible?
That or a search functionhasezwei wrote:i think we need a reese thread. or, preferrably, a whole reese-wiki.
Upload to the sample swap, that's what it's forRekah wrote:ill upload them now and pm the link to you
how?amphibian wrote:Upload to the sample swap, that's what it's forRekah wrote:ill upload them now and pm the link to you
to make them sound good...starting at the synth get a reese going, but instead of bouncing it....right away...run the channel to a few fx returns.....throw distortion on one fx return and maybe some flange, reverb, chorus on the other....set the levels for each and make sure that the original synth channel is the dominate signal, 2nd distortion layer, 3rd the modulation fx.....and then bounce all that in one shot.......rather than make a reese, bounce, load in sampler add fx bounce....rinse...repeat....a boring and tedious process, that causes one to lose the dynamics of the original signal.Rekah wrote:i know this threads been done to death but im after some reese samples, ive done a search on doa and here and most of them say why dont you make your own
anyway im after some reese samples but 1s that have been processed, i can make them myself but they dont sound anywhere near as good as some of the samples i have on my old pc (its fucked btw so i cant get them off)
if anyone can help me out id be really greatfull
call what mids?boot wrote:Haha it is if you say it is. I generally just call them mids anyways. The one on that tune is just some detuned square waves with an LFO on the filter
