Re: Drop records closing down
really sad news another shop has closed, I wish them all the best in the future. Quiet heart breaking when the shop you've worked in for so long goes down.
On a more up beat note however. I do most of my work with younger people, 16 / mid-twenties, and have recently had a few of them tell me how they have sold their CD-J's to buy 1210's and that vinyl is the way forward and their looking to start labels and get their music out there. Many of the guys put on nights and their views are being picked up by many of their peer's.
Also I went In my new local shop the other day to have a nice long chat about how vinyl is really steady in certain genres. which again, is not so great news to drop, but positive in the bigger scheme. Everything comes round in cycles and vinyl like most things will as well.

But still, its really sad to hear about the shop/any independant shop closing down. Ive been through it all with skateboard shops, never thought records shops would have an issue.
