Yeah head-fi loves the myths. Like you say grain of salt. Maybe a truckload. It's up to you want to beleive it or not but I'm here to tell you it's horse shit. Macc believes it tho so I'm sure you all will be stuffing your cans in a pillow for a week lol.

I just picked up a pair of Sennheiser 555 HD's from Amazon on Black Friday at a great deal. They are honestly the best pair of headphone's I've ever owned, and they even have a default 1/4" plug that comes with a 1/4"-1/8" adapter which is great for jamming on my guitar amp at night.
