yeah I think Gervais is about as funny as a pebble. Although I did lol at this. Generally speaking..... he should stick to writing.

De Niro's appearance on Extras is enough to show he knows whats what

Not a fan of Ricky's stand-up but you can't deny The Office is the creation of an utter comic genius. Everything about that show is pure perfection.

His smile and the look of confusion on the audience makes it for me.

Thought it was hilarious, im sure most people thought it was funny (meaning the people he was poking fun at), but i really do doubt he'll be hosting anything big in the future, lol. At the end:

Haha, hero.

Though surely, something like this would be heavily rehearsed and the network knew exactly what was coming?

The American one is a very, very good show. But it's nowhere near as innovative or observational as the original. While the original was gritty, realistic and totally on point with each of the cast, the American one is just a light hearted sitcom with people doing over the top silly things.

No, it's not.

It is good though.

Lol at the super arrogant, hot headed atheist comments on the vid:

"I can imagine Bill O'reilly's response. "Gervais is an idiot. He admits god exists in the same breath as he claims to be an atheist". The humor will go right over his head along with the majority of theists who don't know Gervais is an atheist, and will think he's making fun of us."

I bet he says nothing about it tbh. I don't think any group of people is more guilty of straw manning than outspoken atheists. They just seem to constantly be fantasising a situation where they outsmart an "ignorant" religious person.
