I was really digging Black Mountain and related side projects recently. Disgusts me that people would call it indie.

Is it wrong to have developed quite a taste for gabba/hardcore/hardtek/breakcore? I never used to be able to handle this stuff but I can totally get down now.

^thats ok but it sounds a lot more like grunge/90s alternative to me. a lot of rock music doesn't do it for me. i like electronic music because of the immense palate of sounds that are used. so much rock that i've heard has the same instrument tones, unless the arrangement is really unique it sounds stale to me. I interned at a few recording studios and the rock bands that came in were always trying to copy their favorite bands from the 80s and 90s. Of course musicians from other genres do it, but I feel like most rock subgenres these days are real slow to innovate.
