tbh i find drum and bass easier to mix then most, i don't own any drum and bass (i'm a stinge and can't afford to collect dnb vinyl at this stage) on wax but when i rinse out at mates' places it seems to be mad easy

Really? I started mixing dubstep before anything and now when I'm at mates house's mixing dnb I usually find it easier to beat match and quite often get some nice blends going.

My mates will never entirely agree to this though lol.

theres less room for error in dnb due to the drum pattern and speed of it...

dubstep/garage imo are harder, but once u can mix u can mix really...

Just recently bought decks, but I had a question about serato since I ain't completely sure how it works..
Do I have to buy a specific rane soundcard or can I use it with my apogee duet?? And if I can use it with my soundcard, what do I have to buy? only the control vinyls and serato software?
Anyone care to enligten me? :t:

Started mixing with dubstep as well, and indeed, I find it easier to mix dnb and even jungle than dubstep......

i think thats probably the key point. iv just come out of a 3 year mixing hiatus (work commitments) after playing dnb out relatively regularly - think I just surprised myself when i started mixing dubstep how easy it was, thought I would have lost the accuracy after that long a gap. Once u know how to beatmatch I guess the rule apply regardless of genre/ tempo.

still in my opinion anyway dnb seems a bit harder :6:

I'd say the Burial albums are pretty essential on VInyl!
The Bug too, really owns his sound on WAX!

Do you know about Lo Dubs in PDX?
They put out some massive 12"
