I find them increasingly sinister places with all the extra security measures put in place 'for our safety'. Having to declare how many pisses you had that morning and seeing armed coppers packing machine guns wander around families just makes me fear the future...

Just finished Kafka on the Shore, my first Murakami book Enjoyed the pace and the invention but after I felt a little wanting. Will be sure to check out some other titles.

Cheers bookpeople! So Dance Dance Dance is part of series?!?! Bet i started it in the wrong order, someone gave it to me.

Maan Akash Radio is sounding crazily brutal tonight - what the hell are they singing about? If they carry on like this i really will have to go to bed.

Airports eh? I'm all about the trans-siberian express, its like 500 US to go half way across the world... no airports.

"A Wild Sheep Chase" comes before Dance, Dance, Dance, but honestly you could probably read them out of order. The thing about Murakami books is they never have alot of resolution in the end, things are left open and they leave you feeling a strange sense that maybe you dreamt parts of them. Also, there are running themese, objects, places and characters thougout the books, so you have the strange feeling that you maybe read this before. His style is a bit addictive if you are into it.

Eagerly awaiting for a rowdy, drunken, jet-lagged Scuba in Barcelona.
