Birthdays, Xmas's etc i always ask my missus for VST's and instruments. I always put a few pound away in a jar aswell to save for the more expensive stuff and hardware.

I don't understand how people think they have the right to complain about software when they've not paid for it!
That's like stealing a car and then complaining about how comfy the seats are. Spastic.

I spent all that money because it was something I loved doing and I wanted to be able to do it well. You can't pirate a Rickenbacker, so I had to shell out the bones. Might as well spend a couple hundo some software to be able to do shit I love without having to worry about weird problems caused by cracks.
Also, Komplete is a fucking amazing deal and if you buy it through sweetwater, or American Musical Supply, you can pay for it in 3 payments of $166 a month, which is pretty negligible in the scheme of things.
Ha i'll keep that in mind for the future.hakka wrote:Birthdays, Xmas's etc i always ask my missus for VST's and instruments. I always put a few pound away in a jar aswell to save for the more expensive stuff and hardware.
Oh I definitely understand this as well. When I first got started I was dirt poor so I pirated a copy of Nuendo (yeah the $2000 software, haha) and got started. I'm definitely not anti-piracy, I think it's a valuable way to get hands-on experience with a product before shelling out the bones, but I definitely encourage purchasing for the long run.alexolmer wrote:Eradicouture wrote:For a while, I was stingy about buying software, but then I realized that I had spent over $3000 on bass equipment so play in bands that never went anywhere and just ended up breaking up. Trust me, of all people I understand this... I've been in bands for years, and have
spent thousands of dollars on equipment myself. As a beginner and being new to all of this
though I don't feel it necessary to shell out all the money... I feel what I am doing currently
is the best method to dabble in electronic music and give me an introductory experience
without having to spend a bunch of money.
just quit man. if it can't work just quit it and stop.alexolmer wrote:£10 Bag wrote:Not about to expect your programs to work properly then.alexolmer wrote:Not about to drop $500+ on programs, my bad...

Dude... I'm not complaining, just looking for a solution. I realize that theres a good
chance it isnt working because it is a rip. As i've stated previously Ableton along with
ALL of my other vst's work perfectly, just bums me out a little that massive cant do the same.
Wish you posted over here more often. You are jokes!£10 Bag wrote:Not about to expect your programs to work properly then.alexolmer wrote:Not about to drop $500+ on programs, my bad...
