nikks: if what you got is actually Acid Studio, not Acid Pro, yeah i agree it's really not the best choice for dubstep, if only cause you cannot automate vst on studio if i remember correctly
try downloading reaper, the evaluation version isn't limited except for a nag screen when you start it, the workflow is similar to acid and you can find tons of tutorial on the internet

it's similar to acid?? shit okay i think i'm just gonna stay away from anything even remotely similar to acid which is probably a lot of stuff but i dont know. i was so lost using acid and i tried watching tutorials but they didn't really help me at all..if only there was some sort of class i could take. but thanks for your advice man
Re: How to make dubstep with Sony Acid 8?
well i dont know what confuses you that much with acid, while i agree it might be lacking on a lot of points, especially in the way it deals with midi, i find it rather simple and intuitive
anyway, to each his own i guess, but note the main reason i suggested reaper is cause i assumed from your previous post you didnt have a lot of money to put in a DAW, and you can use this one without having to feel guilty for cracking it

i mean i've just never used any sort of music software progam in my life and i have zero experience with music so thats why im confused and i figured since idk what i'm doing i probably shouldnt hash out a lot of money on software thats like for people who have some sort of experience.
