I live in the subburbs boarding right on the edge of the country... in fact half of my town is defo country side. i love it here, the city is 15 min drive away, pubs all around, and and easy bike ride to escape to some peace and quiet.

howeer when im at uni im in a city center... its super handy to be that close to clubs etc, and somthing is always going down... and you feel part of "the in crowd" for lack of a better phrase because you always know someone or somthing going on.... but in reality its fucking depressing,

I live in Newcastle so I have the luxury of both having all the big city conveniences and being able to drive 10-15 minutes in any direction and either be at the coast or in the countryside :corndance:

I'd say I live in the Suburbs but I still live in the middle of nowhere. Kinda like, I get the worst of both rural and suburban.

I live in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, certainly the most rural and least densely populated so I prefer the city - but my heart is in the sticks. I just love being the only person around for miles upon miles, having an entire beach to myself. There's also more castles here than anywhere else in Europe IIRC, most of them well over 500 years old... but best of all, we don't get tourists, they all fuck off to the lakes or drive straight past us and into Scotland 8)

I like to dissappear and be alone a lot of the time, not having people all over me, ringing me up because they don't want to get high alone...
Do you say zerbaman? Or do you say zebraman?

I'm definitely very suburban, well Bromley is pretty much equidistant between central london and the kent countryside

Kind of torn between urban and rural..suburbs are the equivalent of a death sentence in my eyes. I love the culture of big cities, lots of things to do as well.. but at the end of the day, its the quiet I really enjoy..

the countryside is fucking boring coz there's nothing to do and cities are overcrowded and full of wankers, here in bromley i have the best of both worlds, overcrowded and full of wankers but still boring as fuck coz there's nothing to do

I think of it the other way.

None of the nightlife of a city

But still not in the country where it's better in every other aspect

i agree with the nightlife bit, but i dont agree that the country is better, i think i'd go mad from the boredom if i lived in the countryside

this.

gimme a city any day

i live in suburban manchester, on the outskirts of a gigantic council estate where there is literally nothing to do except pubs and shitty nightclubs

i luckily live near fallowfield/rusholme/withington and on the bus about 40mins from the city centre so i can get out but suburbia is SHIT

i dont think i could deal with the countryside because i am too much in love with my urban pursuits, i love cities, i love busy-ness despite how lazy i am...

Aslong as I'm within a short taxi/train ride of London I'm happy. Can't stand living in central though, its just too much.

I really want to live in a country cottage in the south of france after ive got some decent money together.

Got a fair few years of being a corporate slave before that happens though.

My ideal house would be deep in the woods somewhere with a nice studio set up I think.

Would have to have met a girl for the long term though to avoid becoming a hermit/bearded redneck who drinks too much (by that I mean someone who would drag me out of the studio for any reason other than getting pissed).

:o Sounds like you're living every retired person's dream. Though I am seriously jealous. I know I'd miss the city if I lived somewhere like this, but I can't help feel attracted to the countryside.
