Re: Skream via Facebook

Saw it this morning. Yawned. Moved on...
When I saw this pop up on my newsfeed I was very glad to read it. Simply because he was telling people exactly what he thinks about them wanting him to essentially recycle his music. I'm glad that he wants to take his music in new directions, his art shouldn't be restrained by fans of his old stuff, and I'm glad that he wont let it.budsteq wrote:discuss?Skream wrote:People really need to realise that im not gonna make tunes like i did in 2004/5/6 because it isn't 2004/5/6...Its 2011....Im not gonna make another tune like 'Rutten' because i made 'Rutten'......Same goes for all the other tracks that people say 'make a tune like.....again'.

Fair play on that but it still feels like Bukem releasing Mr Happy.

test recordings wrote:Mr Happy was made by Hazard & D*Minds, nothing to do with LTJ Bukem and that's why I made the comparison. Bukem is the symbol of intelligent DnB and Mr Happy is like the "dumbest" tune I've ever heard.Rönin wrote:So that's who put it out, I cannot forget that tune but never the knew who produced itDosva wrote:budsteq wrote:When I saw this pop up on my newsfeed I was very glad to read it. Skream's still got it in him, his last album was really good. I wouldn't want him to go backwards and make tunes that sound like they're from 2005 but I am looking forward to the day he gets sick of this "tear-out" phase and starts playing and making tunes that have that amazing Skream quality again.faust.dtc wrote:In other words he is bored of people saying 'do you rememeber when you used to produce good music'...

Thats why so many people love him, and by requesting him to make stuff similar to the older material he produced this fact is being ignored haha.Skream fb page said solid day in the studio today, oh how I wish i could hear some of the stuff he came up with just today haha.jsml wrote:Skream's still got it in him, his last album was really good. Which, he blatently will, he can't keep still musically, he's the most diverse producer I've ever known.
Nicely put hahaDREdio wrote:as a producer he has the right to make whatever he wants and as a consumer i have the right to not purchase music that i dont like
