please fuck off back to psytrance.., you and i both know you've never even heard dubstep on a huge club system. You were never even at rocket club or emerald lounge to see the medicore systems popping needles off vinyl.... you weren't even there when medisin and d:raf were telling me how shitty dubstep was in 06.

dude, no need to be rude, I have no idea who you are and you obviously don't know me. At all.
Rocket Club and Emerald Lounge? LOL! I actually was there, trance has never been my main interest, was a huge dnb/idm supporter waaay before either of those places opened. :) 2006? Rocket Club opened in 08. We were throwing dubstep events at BoBo and Joli Rouge in 07. I went shopping for vinyl in ATL & NYC 10 years ago to add to my large collection which I still have. But it iz nice these days with most people going digital on such massive subsonic systems that one doesn't have to worry about the needles jumping off. :D
I like doing bass heavy AV sets on this 20,000 watts, 24 bit, 96k system

and re: rocket club. yep. 2008. I arranged for the Submerge gents and Plume to play at Rocket Club after Brad cancelled the dubstep monthly at Bobo's three days before its april date.

Sorry I don't know who you are dude. I threw several packed out parties at Joli Rouge. I was at every single dnb Definition Fri's at BoBo's dancing my ass off and being nice to everyone -and every single dubstep night when those started happening and was at every event at The Rocket Club when it came back there. I was doing the visuals.

I don't know what bullshit you speak of, I'm having a great time with the revival of parties.

you probably have met me and you'll probably feel bad for being so rude to me if you remember how cool and nice I am, lol.
I wasn't DJIng back then. I was dancing. And doing visuals. I started DJing in 09 to do AV sets.
My name is Celeste. I started going by GalaxC Girl. With a C for Celeste.
Nice to meet you. LOL!
me at the joli rouge aka my birthday party.

Before that we threw events at Tribe with Knowa Knowone. Quetzatl, Bowie, Clip & Carbine, Krumbz ring any bells? Or maybe you hate all of them too?

PS: sorry to jack your thread, soundchecks are really great is all I was sayin, lol!

I once ate so much cake that I passed out, my family were there at the time worried sick. Unfortunately my mother worried so much that she went into full pituitary shutdown.

It was grand though cause the cake was chocolate.

Sound checks are important, music is good lets all be friends and be safe when you're eating huge amounts of cake, especially if it has loads of icing. That shit will clog like a fucker. Clog city.

I am actually quite possibly the sweetest guy alive. My bloodstream is 24% glucose. Think of me regularly, please.

I LOVE MY LIFE.

this. especially when you play on serato/tracktor etc. set it up before the night starts, not while the dj before you is playing his last tunes!

It really is though, especially when dealing with soundcards it doesn't matter if you match up the settings on your software the output is still going to vary, I've seen people going from unbalanced soundcards to balanced and nearly blowing a system.

Also check if you're switching gear, I've had 2 DJM 400s with one being a right bit hotter then the other. I have no idea why but that was the case, I always assumed soundchecks were mandatory anyhow.

just go for it man. think of all those times youve imagined pulling off a big mix or dropping your favourite tune and hearing it go off large...and then actually do it. Then play Simple City, and err'tang wil be fine.

yeah, keep it out of the red, and best to get used to mixing just with the headphones rather than relying on one ear and the monitor because monitors can be crap, if they are then the delay by the time you hear the output from a big rig in front of you can make it tricky.

bigggup!
