Btw, Burial produced Archangel because, at that time, his dog had recently passed away. So I think that has to be the absolute winner.

Everything by SP:MC and LX One/Joker D. No obvious heart and soul elements, but yeah, I feel those two are deep hearts. My favorite producers atm.

haha, I fully agree. I didn't mean Joker but "Joker D" (aka LX One, as he calls himself nowadays, probably because people always mixed him up with the other Joker).

Maybe " Down" and "Taiko Dub" are the most obviously 'deep', soulful tunes. The melancholy. Whereas the 'Killer' one is dark, nasty, and funny. Which doesn't make it less deep and 'necessary'. I think this is my criterion: music that feels driven by a desire, written by an individual stubbornly following an idiosyncratic desire. As opposed to well-crafted tunes that (merely) sound 'professional'.

'professional' dubstep sound for me is flux pavillion and i just don't like it
i generally like the deep, dark tunes of skream etc.. Also i loved killers about by benga which you reminded me about with killer by lxone.
Just atm i was listening to mala's stuff and was fed up of only having a few soulful tunes and i was worried i would begin to listen to them to much and needed to get some variety!
MY favourite so far still has to be Kaneda - asa.
