Richard O'Brian appreciation thread.

I walked past a graffiti artist the other night down this fairly remote road, near midnight. Had a stencil of a rat up with two TV cameras and a lighting set up on him. I live in Bristol, about 4 minutes from Stokes Croft where there are 4+ Banksy's. I stood and watched for a while, they stood and did not a whole lot.

It looks a bit sloppy, but do we reckon it was the man himself or a painfully cringe-worthy student project of some sort, honestly can't remember what he looked like.

Banksy wasn't the fist guy to use stencils, but he probably was the first in stokes croft, not that I'd really know. Some sick graffiti in that area, and all over Bristol for that matter. Saw a massive mural about the tesco riot the other day on the way in from Bath.

Yeah sure, but it's a straight Banky piece, one of his rats holding a video camera (it was being filmed too, to clarify).

Where is this riot piece? I go to & from Bath 3/4 times a week, never even seen that? Unless you mean the 'Policeful Protest' one on S.croft?

probably the latter mate, definitely dont see why banksy would do anything sloppy, and anything without a particular/ reason or publicity now these days...guys a multi-millionaire & world famous now, doubt he would go backwards and revisit days of stenciling bristol..
