If you find a sine wave in there, which shouldn't be too hard.

This has turned into a random but surprisingly good little tune - might actually get myself round to entering this one

Same here quite chuffed with what i've come up with so far
To all those asking if they can use anything from outside... the answer is NO! TBH this pack is very comprehensive, you should'nt have trouble finding anything in there if you look through the samples hard enough

I must say, I thought I knew all about sampling... now I realize that I don't. Some of the samples don't play in my DAW, maybe I ought to convert them and check for sine lol.

TL_126_LOOP_NO_SHAKE_808 - lowpass the bass and sample just the low end.
Don`t even need to search too hard.

Thanks! That's actually one of the sounds my DAW wasn't compatible with, I'll convert and continue on doing this thing.

Important Question: In Ableton Live's Sampler their is a Osc you can layer on top of your sample. Other than this almost everything else are just differant filters, LFOs and pitch modulation blah blah. Question is, is this consider a synth inside of a sample editor because it creates sound? If so i'm guessing it isn't allowed in this competition?

Yes, you can submit anytime. I don't think there is a preference to what site is used, though seeing as the Sample Pack was available from
Sendspace, that seems like a good bet

In this instance, I'd say no this isn't allowed as the Osc generates a waveform, and as such you'd be using a sound that wasn't supplied in the pack.

The Osc doesn't generate a waveform that is layered on top of the sample. It generates a waveform that modulates the sample, it's basically a FM or AM modulator.
Disallowing it would be like disallowing an LFO.

Ah, fair enough - apologies, not familiar with Ableton's instrument and misread the original request where it said "creates sound".

Reaper has an option to modulate any field with an lfo.
That`s a different thing to layering the existing sound with a sine wav for example.
You`re wording made it sound as though an additional waveform was being added.

Wub has notified me of this already.
I was convinced that thats what the OSC did, but learning is actually helping me out with a problem. I wasn't getting a good sound out of what i was using and i had no idea why.
BTW: you're all goin down
