saw a little of it, it`s more on electronic music, than dubstep, South Park delivers quality almoust every time.

I'm sorry but the last season has been jank but for good reason... Everything up to the 200th ep was good but after the Mohammad ep they got in a lot of trouble! I'm assuming that this season shit ones are due to that more than anything else.

IMO its always been funny but then again I'm a 32 year old kid...

agreed. definitely seemed to be more about dubstep from the video.

there were a few references to dubstep in it, but yeah, overall a kinda disappointing episode. i was expecting more humor, and less of things just happening for the sake of happening.

it's definitely about dubstep. but most likely the writers are only exposed to brostep. perfect example of why its a shame that sweeping generalizations about hyphy ravey clusterfuck tunes come to define a genre.

but yah episodes definitely about dubstep, they just didn't get the drums right. it wouldn't make sense that its just about EDM, cuz techno n dnb have been ridiculous for decades, but weren't well known enough to get parodied like that. Dubstep is ubiquitous... Americas sensationalized by it, Nikki Minaj will be putting out rap records on dubstep beats, everyone knows Skrillex, but never heard of/forgot about From First To Last. Its kind of a bigger thing than electro, dnb, jungle, anything else were capable of becoming here.
Episode was ehhh.... kinda funny

I stopped following South Park two seasons ago. This one was def a let down and makes me question if I want to bother with the previous episodes.

There was maybe one song that sounded anything remotely like dubstep. After listening to the cd for 1:15 , there was 20 more minutes of the episode that had nothing to do with anything close to dubstep.

By your logic this episode was about The Police, because that bit was more prominent and obvious.

season 15 has been weak so far, but season 12 was a shitty season also... soooooooooooo...

Last year Season 14 was fairly decent (aside the dream episode which was awful), but it will come out to be hit or miss in some occasions. Plus Trey + Matt were also working on a Morman musical, maybe they were just running out a bit of steam.

I watched it out of curiosity this morning and found it kind of interesting that it wasn't really about dubstep, and was instead handling an issue cartoons always struggle with: growing up. Like The Simpsons, no one ever ages on cartoons. They were clearly using the wobble-y brostep midrange sound as a jumping off point, but then it became an episode about losing your innocence and excitement of everything. I'm sure we all know the cynical bastards that really do seem to hate everything instead of letting themselves get some joy out of stuff like music and movies and tv and whatnot.

Music angle was very inspired by that big scene out in the mountain states...

the music had farting/shitting sounds and thats what some people say brostep wobbles sounds like.

Similar to how some folks call anything with filter automation on a synth "dubstep"

with the two-syllable, 2 word genre term i thought it was pretty clear it was parodying dubstep
