Surely you want vinyl because firstly it's nice to own a product rather than just a file?
Secondly it's nicer to mix on for so many people. It's just no fun on CDJs for me.
Thirdly it colours the sound nicely and in general when something is sent to be mastered for vinyl (now I am generalising here) the mastering is just better.
Fourthly it makes me appreciate the music more. file on a hard drive will get nowhere near as many listens and just get forgotten about where as a vinyl goes for years and years being played at my house.
Also I feel there's more of a label identity with vinyl which includes all of the design work and everything. Plus it's nice (for someone being a bit nerdy like I will be) to have all the credits, websites, catalogue numbers etc. on the record
stepping outside of dubstep this can become a little more important. Think of buying a hip hop record and then having written down in front of you who did every beat and who did every guest verse. Makes finding other artists a lot easier and it's fun to do it that way.
