the first track I ever completed was a remix. I'd been playing around (it wasn't really producing yet) but could never finish or find a flow to a track, so once I had some direction it made things a lot easier. the song really sucked but it helped me understand how to go about completing something and how song structure works a bit. that's just about the only pro of doing remixes if you're not too good yet.
