no no I agree with most of it!
Though I'm not a mix scientist :lol:

anyway I'd like to add that changing stuff sounds better when doing it on the 1 beat of a bar. whatever you do, twitch a knob, slide a fader or whatever - do it on the 1st beat of a bar. and ofc it works best if it's done on the 1st bar out of 4, 8, 16 or whatever.

did that make any sense?

Yes, that made sense.
Since a typical structure relies on multiplies of 4 it's kind of obvious that it would sound the best that way :) I would never have thought about it if you wouldn't have posted that though!
