It's all about the wave table, Mon.

Im not doubting that it can be done. Of course it 'can be done'... just isnt going to be a pure sine, even if you use sin-sq as mentioned above.
Fair enough mate thats a valid point, I dont use massive at all myself anyways sounds a bit false if you get me.

still don't have conclusive evidence to NOT use massive besides a few of what you guys say (and that's out of subjectivity based on your own ears, however I HAVE to respect that cause I don't have as much experience with generating sine waves from different synths as most people here, though maybe I do?)...Sine69 pretty much gave me enough reason to continue using massive.

friendly debate/conversation about synth specific sine wave generation here fellas, no harsh feelings :)

I think my main reason was purely the fact that I can use other, lower CPU usage synths to get the same effect.

Why not though? Just curious.
It looks and sounds pretty sine wavey to me.

just use 3x osc if your after a pure sine wave, o and i kinda think thats bollocks.. massive DOES produce pure sine waves.

massive a great synth for subs.. why not?? i always like to layer a little pulse wave over it and put some mod wheel automation on the PWM to get a really nice warm moving effect (think the skreamix of von d's "show me") without losing any of the club oomph. sounds good to me but if you wanna be a total nerd about it and argue about the analog modelling like it matters at all outside of a laboratory then thats your call bro.....
