This is something I really don't understand - producers find pretty decent samples like that little redneck guitar/banjo/whatever-it-is lick, and instead of building a tune around it, just use it in the intro and breakdown, filling the rest of the song with really horrible noise. There's never proper rhythm or drive to these tunes, its just about the kick and snare and fucking NOISEARHGHGHGHGHGHGHGH with the baselines adding NOTHING to the groove.
