edit: love chemical, the website's presentation beats the hell out of redeye and I've only had one small problem with delivery (sleeve on eyes down ep was a bit scuffed up)

To much Negativity towards Chemical Records in this Thread, (not saying its unfounded though).
Big up Chemical, Best service I've ever used in fairness.
No problems at all so far.

Thinking runs Black Box/Box Clever, He also works at chemical in the dubstep section, hence why they always seem pretty close (and have both Black Box logo & Chemical's Logo on the T-Shirts etc)
I've never had a problem with Chemical though, Love the layout, love the service, and havnt had any problems with delivery,

I have yet to receive damaged disks but I will say the last ones I bought weren't packaged to full potential. I received them like others are saying, and my outer sleeve(not sure about vocab) on Return II Space was a bit crumpled where there wasn't any packaging support and also from being crammed in there. My other disk I bought had debris in the actual sleeve, touching the vinyl, which I wasn't too happy about; but it was just dust and sawdust? so I just blew it off. Hopefully it didn't do any damage.
To put some positivity in here, chemical did ship to me pretty fast and didn't tack on lots of fees for being in the US.
To be honest though, from a business aspect, you have to up the packaging. It will only take a little more foam and effort to fully satisfy your customer; now wouldn't that feel nice? Negativity on a forum like this could kill.

All this talk of warped records, bad packaging etc... makes me really glad that I have the opportunity of visiting central London on a regular basis so I can go to decent record shops. You really can't beat buying vinyl in person!
It's just a shame there aren't more decent record shops around elsewhere

dunno what people are saying about chemical but they are one of the best websites i have ever done business with fast as fuck delivery and all my record have been fine....except my recent purchase of d.o.k on hyperdub the whole in the middle had a wee chip in it soo when mixing the tune the record wobbles abit and sometimes causes the needle to jump...part from that all other purchases have been excellent

I've made numerous orders with Chemical in the last year. The only thing I had to send back was a 12" that had a label pressed over the grooves; whilst it could have been inspected before dispatch [though I completely understand why it wouldn't have been], it's originally the fault at the pressing.
In all, fantastic service, selection and quality. I have 100% confidence in Chemical.

I've used chemical for 4 years and only ever received two records (all be it on seperate occasions) that have been damaged/warped. I phone them instantly and they offered me the option to be refunded or to send the damaged record back to them and on both occasions i received my replacement record the following day. Big up to chemical, they outweigh redeye in the GUI of the website and the warehouse itself is a sick place to visit.

i just received the new benton on black box and i have to say that it was packaged perfectly between two stiff cardboard stiffeners which made it feel secure no scarring on the actual sleeve maybe a wee bit at the bottom but barely noticeable i know i only ordered one but it jus seemed packaged well so big up to chemical for this

Never had any problems with Chemical so far (Y)
Although vinyl is the first thing my money goes on every month. Massive chunk of pay gone.
Worth it? Definitnely
And how will you inquire into a thing when you are wholly ignorant of what it is? Even if you happen to bump right into it, how will you know it is the thing you didn't know?
