I emphatically disagree with that statement. I know you are just thinking Budweiser, Miller etc. There are some great breweries in the US. Off the top of my head there is Full Sail and North Coast among many others. But those are West Coast, so quite literally a few thousand miles from you.

Stella is a light beer to me... ;-)

get out... you must not know much about beer

I got one of those aging in my fridge.

ketamine- americans make some ridiculously amazing beers. you are in baltimore you say? do you at least have yuenglings out there? its funny that i even mention that one over others because on the east coast it is so common, but we do not get distribution for it over here on the west coast. do you get any brooklyn brewing? troegs brothers? three floyds? founders? goose island? all those beers I mentioned we do not get distribution where I live, but you might because of your location. actually I lied, we just received distribution from goose island because hensley bought that brewery out.

What are some truly high end beer? Clean, crisp, very little hangover... Etc

Brew Dog are a Scottish firm who have released some strong ass beers and some right tasty ones too. Just recently opened a bar sellin their brews aswell. Mate of mine swears that if you drink their stuff all night you'll wake up with little/no hangover. Just a shame every time I drink with him it turns into a massive sesh hittin the wine, spirits and cocaine to top it off so never got to experience this luxury :(

But yeah Stellas nice but defo not high end. But a slight cut above your average weak lagers sold on draught

I am not a huge fan of Stella and other Euro beers, in my opinion you are just paying a premium because it is imported. If you want good American brews then Sam Adams is a good go to choice, they pretty much make all styles and you can find them anywhere. Someone said you live in Baltimore so I would definitely reccomend Dogfish Head and the aforementioned Yuengling(sucks that here in CT we can't get that). Not sure about how far they distribute but I would also check out Long Trail and Otter Creek from Vermont, Harpoon from Boston, Smuttynose from New Hampshire, and Southern Tier from New York. All have good variety and make some unique brews. You should also be able to find some fine brews from Stone Brewery, Victory, Rogue, Sierra Nevada and some other national craft brewers.

But for the love of God, stop drinking Corona.

God, Heineken is the worst beer that some people think is good. And not to be racist but I live in a very racially diverse area, and black people swear by it......and I don't understand why.

Dogfish Head 90 Minute is the one...

If I'm not arsed to drive the 10 minutes to grab a 4 pack I grab a 12 of some Newcastle close by.

Thank You. My friends (indeed black) rant about it. But H give's me an instant headache. My body physically can’t drink it. I’m basically a fan of "bright yellow" beer. Followed by clear ones. (So sue me, I don’t know what its called). Any darker gives me headaches or bad hangovers.

Southern tier and victory are both good. Only had the java stout from southern tier and the smoke stout from victory. Want more. No distribution here. Need.

Knell, I know you love Russian river. So, if you can snag you hands on another bottle, take a chance and age it. The bite completely dies but those citrusy simcoe hops become really bright. Tastes completely different. Doesnt even have to be a year. Do it for 6 months. See what happens.
Its 8% abv which I would never age something under 10, especially an IPA. But, this one was super good.

also heard good things bout the stone brewing co. out of CA, 'arrogant bastard' in particular.
