i know people think 'bass music' is more integrating of all the different parts and whatever but it's just such a shit name. i reckon sub-low would have been a much better name than either...

Not too worried about what someone wants to name the genre, I'll continue to call it what I want to call it. The music is more important than the label.

i reckon they should just do away with genres on these sites and list everything by bpm... might make things a bit more eclectic?

i much prefer to call it bass music anyway, dubstep has a horrible reputation these days

i have to agree with you even though you're gay... bpm would be a good way to classify stuff

I understand wanting to escape the dubstep name, but bass music is shit. It's like calling it drum music, just doesn't make sense.

its just a marketing ploy to remain "relevant", there will always be dubstep producers now that youngens have grown up with it, whether it remains at the forefront of uk music scene is another question, it will most probably shrink, with only the big boys left to keep up the name.
