Re: Moombahcore/dubstep influenced moombah
I think Moombah's a bit over-exposed. It's just really slow house isn't it?

It's dutch house slowed down to 108 bpm. The moombahton sound isn't bro step wobble, its high pitched synth leads.
This is moombahton:

From wikipedia
"The specific event that stimulated Nada's development of the Moombahton genre was his slowing the Afrojack remix of the Silvio Ecomo & DJ Chuckie song "Moombah" to 108 beats per minute."
OP: Try some of these these
"However, Nada's "Moombahton" was much more than simply "Dutch House pitched down to 108 BPMs." The original Moombahton tracks feature not only the standard moombahton 108 BPMs but also 1.) chopped vocals, 2.) layered acapellas, 3.) extended and enhanced build-ups, as well as the introduction of 4.) new drums and percussion elements. HOLY SHIT everybody wants to hate and nobody wants to answer the questions.
I made my own version of the Skrillex moombah-woop in Massive. Route Osc 1 to Filter 1. Make Osc 1 Square, Saw, Melofan.. whatever sounds right. You actually get the Skrillex sound by setting FX 1 to classic tube, and just turn up the dry/wet to halfway and set the other knob after you set up filter 1. Set Filter 1 to Scream, have performer (or envelope) control cutoff and reso. Have cutoff start at bottom and automate via performer all the way. As for the reso, go about halfway up, add the performer to go up and extra quarter of the way (this is what will give you the sound, so you have to play with it to get it right)). Turn the middle knob (scream knob?) up about halfway. You have to play with these to get the sound right... but the basic sound is there.
Sorry this is kind of sloppy, not on the computer I produce on, so I can't get to into detail, but let me know how it goes. And if you go with performer, set it to 3/24 or 32 (don't recall) and try triplets for a moombah vibe.

This forum never intended for the 'dubstep community' to discuss creating synth patches for their productions? Where the fuck am I?hasezwei wrote:HOLY SHIT everybody wants to know stuff about shit music this forum was never intended to discuss.kid_chameleon wrote:HOLY SHIT everybody wants to hate and nobody wants to answer the questions.
You are free to have your own opinion about the style of music, but don't assume everybody shares the same opinion. Just because it doesn't fit your taste, or the taste of the majority of the people on this forum, doesn't mean that its shitty. Its just different.
Re: Moombahcore/dubstep influenced moombah
It is actually Dubstep influenced by and not Moombahton itself were discussing, right? Personally I love the idea of pushing Dubstep down on the BPM range, make it a lil bit more bouncy
Burial isnt dubstep, fuck off.
Re: Moombahcore/dubstep influenced moombah
